Transferring Photos to Wood

I often get asked how transferring photos to wood works. Do I have a special machine that prints onto the wood for me? The simple answer is no. All the photos on wood that I produce are printed on my laser printer and then transferred by myself using a special ink transferring process. What better way to start my first blog, than to show you what I do!

This video shows a photo block in process. Here, I have already stuck the image down using an acrylic gel medium and now I am in the process of removing the paper to reveal the transferred image. I have sped this video up as it is a labour intensive step and can take quite a while. I hope you will find the video interesting and have learnt a bit about the process I use to transfer photos to wood!
